Policy

Privacy Policy

The shortest privacy policy you'll read this year, because there is almost nothing to disclose.

The apps

The Gnostic Library and The Gospel of Thomas Daily (by Aquarius Mobile Studios) run entirely on your device:

  • No data collected. No data shared. No data sold.
  • No account, no sign-in, no email address.
  • No analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no trackers.
  • Reading works fully offline: the full text library ships inside the app and works in airplane mode. The apps go online only through Google Play — for app updates, for purchases, and for the one review request Google Play may show you — and for read-aloud if your phone's speech service uses an online voice, in which case the passage being read goes to that service. Nothing you write in the apps — highlights, notes, questions — is ever sent anywhere.
  • Your highlights, notes, settings, and reading progress are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes them. We could not access, recover, or delete your data if you asked us to — we never have it.
  • Purchases are processed by Google Play (and, on iOS, by Apple). Their handling of your payment is governed by their privacy policies; we receive no personal payment details.
  • Notifications (the daily reading reminder) are scheduled locally on your device.

What The Gnostic Library stores on your device

All of it stays on your phone. None of it is sent to us, and it is removed when you uninstall the app.

  • Your highlights, notes, and pinned passages.
  • Where you left off, and what you have read.
  • Your display and reading-voice settings.
  • Your daily reminder settings, and a short record of when recent reminders were due and which ones you opened — so that each day brings one reading, and a tap opens it once.
  • The reading path you choose with the guide, and the day you began it. The guide's answers themselves are not kept.
  • When your seven open days began, when All Access was offered to you, and whether you unlocked it and with which offer — or were given it as one of the app's first readers.
  • The last “what's new” note you closed.
  • The dates of your first few days of reading, and whether the app has asked you, once, to review it on Google Play.

If your phone backs up apps to your Google account, Android may include this data in that backup, which is encrypted and restored only to you.

Reminders

The daily reading reminder is scheduled on your device by Android; nothing is sent from a server. Like any notification, it can appear on your lock screen and on connected devices such as a watch, depending on your phone's settings.

This website

  • No tracking cookies, no advertising, no analytics profiles.
  • Your day/night theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only — it is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
  • Our hosting provider (Vercel) produces standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, user agent) required to serve and secure the site.
  • If you email support, we keep the correspondence so we can help you; we never share it or add you to a list.

The Companion Letter (free email course)

  • If you choose to subscribe, we keep your email address, the page you signed up from, whether you read on iPhone or Android (only if you tell us), when you confirmed, and which letter you have reached — for one purpose: sending you the letters. None of it is ever sold, shared for marketing, or used for anything else.
  • Signing up is double opt-in: until you tap the link in our confirmation email, nothing else is sent. If you never confirm, your address is deleted within seven days.
  • Your subscription is stored in our subscriber list on n8n, the automation service that runs the letter, and the emails are delivered by Resend; both act only on our instructions. Resend keeps a record of each email it delivers for a limited period under its own retention policy, and if a sending step ever fails, n8n keeps a technical record of that run for a limited time so we can fix it.
  • The letters contain no tracking pixels and no tracked links: we don't know whether you open them or what you click.
  • Every letter includes a one-tap unsubscribe that takes effect immediately and deletes your address from our list.
  • Subscribing is never required — the entire library is readable without it, and the app's daily reading works without any email at all.

Children

The apps collect no data from anyone, children included. This site collects nothing beyond what is described above, from children or anyone else.

Changes

If this policy ever changes materially, the change will be described here with an updated date. Given our architecture — the apps collect nothing, and the site collects only what is listed above — we don't expect it to.

Effective date: August 22, 2026. Updated October 5, 2026 — the list of what The Gnostic Library stores on your device adds three records (All Access given to the app's first readers, the last “what's new” note you closed, and the one review request), and the apps section names that review request among the reasons the apps go online; the newsletter section now describes the free email course: double opt-in, exactly what we keep, the two services that run it (n8n and Resend), no tracking, and deletion on unsubscribe; the contact address is now support@meetamsai.com. Updated September 25, 2026 — a new section lists exactly what The Gnostic Library stores on your device, including reading paths and reminder records, with a note on Android backups, and a Reminders section describes how the daily notification is scheduled. Updated September 18, 2026 — the apps section now lists every reason the apps go online (app updates and purchases through Google Play, and read-aloud with an online voice); the Children and Changes sections state their scope precisely, matching the disclosures above; and the newsletter section names the signup-page field. Updated August 27, 2026 — added The Companion Letter (newsletter) section and the website local-storage note.
